Project Summary:
Phase I funding will be used to analyze how these shifting demographics will impact housing needs and further the housing conversation. Phase II will involve a regulatory audit and provide actionable steps as to how to steer housing development toward other locations in the community.
The Town of Newport received a grant from the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority as part of Governor Sununu’s InvestNH initiative. The Town has partnered with the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission (UVLSRPC) to analyze housing data, conduct a regulatory audit, and plan for future housing opportunities.
